After launching the Cauchy we were asked why no floorstanding speakers with large subwoofer are available; well, here you are: Cauchy 2, showing a strong resemblance to Cauchy. Alcone Cauchy 2 Audaphon TWS 25/6
 

Cauchy 2 shows the following characteristics:

  • 3 way bass reflex, floorstanding speaker with outstanding, powerful bass
  • excellent power handling with top bass foundation
  • extremely clean bass, easily adaptable to room conditions
  • well balanced sound and good three-dimensionality
  • high quality components (minimum MKP capacitors)
  • not to tall (height x width x depth): 99 x 31 x 44 cm

The Alcone Cauchy 2 kit contains:

  • 1 x Alcone AC 6.5 midrange/bass driver

  • 8.2 mH i-core coil/0.49 Ohm
  • 6.8 mH core coil
  • 1 mH air core coil/1.4 mm
  • 0.27 mH air core coil/0.7 mm
  • 2x resistors 10 Ohm/20 Watt
  • 1.8 Ohm MOX10 resistor (brown-grey-gold)
  • 1.5 Ohm MOX4 resistor (brown-green-gold)
  • 0.1 mH air core coil/0.7 mm
  • 15 uF MKP capacitor/400V
  • 68 uF MKP capacitor/400V

Sound description: Despite the small size the Cauchy 2 produces an enormous bass, without booming. Bass is rather clean and tight. A masterpiece for large rooms.
