The CT 234 is a slim 3 way loudspeaker with a Mission coax driver, surrounded by two Mission bass drivers.

Perfect three-dimensionality is paired with an enormous low bass, and all at an affordable price.

This shelf speaker is perfectly suited for home cinema (no CRT) and comprises a Mission CP-10X coax driver and two Mission CP-134 bass drivers.

Excerpt of the review in Klang+Ton 1/2008:
"Due to the slightly declining bass the Mission Cheap Trick can be positioned a little closer to the rear wall. Placed on stands and parallel to the side walls they produce a warm and unobtrusive sound with relatively low bass. Well, the CT 234 is certainly not an exceptionally analytical speaker, but can also not be reproached for suppressing details – on the contrary: with the aid of an assortment of timbres the English Cheap Trick is perfectly capable of distinguishing between minute nuances. Sure, the symmetrical arrangement of drivers helps to generate a large sound stage We have listened to quite a few other speakers with a similarly wide stage, but the depth is just extraordinary, and that a price that seems to be too good to be true. Locating individual instruments has been done better by other speakers, but I can't remember how much expensive those speakers had been. Even when operated lying on the side the Mission Cheap Trick doesn't change, except for a slight tonal variation – an ideal prerequisite for being used as a shelf or home cinema speaker. Dynamically, the CT234 is always on top - whether it's the relatively high sensitivity or the amplifier friendly impedance response, I don't know - in any case the ease in performing shown by this speaker, the thrilling drive and the enthusiasm displayed independent of the music material is extraordinary, even over prolonged listening sessions."

"By employing these Mission drivers there are some highly interesting opportunities for stereo and surround operation. The C234 is a loudspeaker that can be driven by almost any amplifier and the positioning of the speakers is not critical at all. This top performance can be enjoyed even over long sessions; quite amazing considering that his speaker goes for a song."
