Alcone AC 5.25 HE 		The 2 way, bass reflex, floorstanding Dirac is an Alcone/RCM kit, consisting of a ceramic dome tweeter AC1 HAT flanked by two cone mid / bass drivers of 5 1/4 inch.

The Dirac shows the following characteristics:

  • well balanced sound and excellent three-dimensionality
  • beautiful, slim design (height x width x depth): 110 x 19 x 25 cm

The Alcone Dirac kit consists of:

"The Dirac's well balanced design shows up in a pleasant and natural sound projection. Vocals and instruments sound extremely realistic, tending towards a relative warm timbre. The bass is strong and powerful but by no means exaggerated."..."After successful burn-in the Dirac strikes with precision and displays a powerful yet clear bass, mids with lots of body and crystal clear tops. The spacious placement of musical performers gives the impression of a wide stage."

High-end finished crossover for all Alcone Dirac: Mundorf finished crossover with high frequency wave trap and circular terminal with two gold plated brass connectors. Additional charge per unit.

Alcone Dirac Satellite and Centre

Dirac Satellit The Alcone Dirac is also available as compact satellite version 44x19x30cm (left), or as centre speaker for surround sound systems(below right).

Technical data:

The Alcone Dirac is ideally suited for surround sound system since:
- all 5 systems show the same sound characteristics
- the bass response (can not be located) is the only difference between satellite/centre and front speakers . Dirac Center
- the Dirac is full fledged speaker whose bass response is more than adequate for demanding surround sound systems.
- this range of speakers shows an excellent price/performance ratio (many reviews in Klang+Ton) and features magnetically shielded drivers.
