Alcone Lagrange

The 2 way Lagrange, a bass reflex floorstanding model, is an Alcone / RCM kit. It consists of a ceramic dome tweeter AC1 HAT and a magnetically shielded 5 ¼ inch cone bass / midrange driver.

The Lagrange features the following characteristics:

von unten To avoid unwanted intrinsic resonance the cabinet should internally be braced with two crossing boards, both positioned off-centre. Cabinet resonance is always unwanted, unlike with most musical instruments.

The combination of speaker drivers the construction design chosen results in a loudspeaker of exceptional price/performance ratio.

"At last there is a small, easy to manage floorstanding loudspeaker with excellent sound quality. The Langrange fills the gap brilliantly between a shelf speaker (13 cm bass) and a floorstanding speaker (17 cm bass) which has been neglected by almost all other manufacturers.

Ceramics tweeter have mostly an exaggeration above 10 kHz. If you don't like it, than we offer parts for the crossover to correct this.

Lagrange Satellite / for home cinema:

For home cinema, satellite / subwoofer systems or for PC's a small 31,4 x 19 x 25 cm (HxWxD) satellite is available. The kit consists of the same components as the standard kit, however, there is no bass reflex tube and frequency response is 50 to 30 000 Hz (picture to the right).

High-End finished crossover for all Alcone Lagrange:

Lagrange Fertigweiche Due to the high demand for Alcone Kits with High-End finished crossovers, a Mundorf finished crossover with the following high quality components is available:
- air-core coils,
- MKP capacitors (audiophile MCAP with 400V)
- and MOX resistors.

Additionally, this crossover contains a high frequency wave trap that can be deactivated. Customers listening to jazz or classic detect a distinct improvement.

The size of the crossover shown to the left is approx. 160 x 105 mm.
