Minuetta       as in Klang + Ton 5/2005

This enables you to choose from two Top versions, either containing the airy Air Motion Transformer ER4 or a dome tweeter for high frequencies. It also up to you whether you prefer to use the small shelf speaker on its own or in conjunction with an additional Sub part (containing the Eton 8-800/37 hex).

The first two versions come with a small bass reflex cabinet. The last two versions contain an additional subwoofer; then the Top part is a closed cabinet for improved impulse response.

Short excerpt of Klang + Ton's review in issue 5/2005:
..."We asked ourselves where there was still room for improvement when we first listened to the Minuetta Light. Our initial listening test using a valve amp showed a slightly too rich sound. We, therefore, exchanged it for a mid prized transistor amp. Initially we had missed the liveliness that the ER4 had presented us with. But soon after, the floorstanding speaker gained ground due to a bigger bass foundation. Now, even large orchestral works showed up deep double bass, bass drums had more oomph and at higher volumes the Minuetta Light performed with considerable more authority than the midgets before. After exchanging the top parts for units with the ER4 we had come close to the Duetta's musical ability and clarity. Some songs showed that the smaller midrange driver scored a few points, some even said quite a few, since the smaller moving mass resulted in a more detailed presentation in the upper midrange. However, thanks to a more balanced presentation Queen Duetta continues to sit enthroned."
