Subwoofer Drivers Nova 3 Sat/Centre

NOVA 3 Satellite and Centre Building Instruction             Nova 3 Sat/Centre Overview

The cabinet should be built with either MDF or multiplex boards. For further quietening of the cabinet, 2 mm Bitumex boards may be attached to the inside walls - although it didn't seem necessary to us.

1 bag of polyester damping material should be placed into the cabinet. The damping material should be distributed loosely.

Nova 3 Satellite: the cabinet

Nova 3 Gehäuse It's best to start with one side panel, the second side panel should be attached last.

All panels need to be screwed together; the drivers should be fitted last.

The crossover may be attached to the rear panel; in this case the rear panel should be detachable. It's also possible to insert the crossover through the driver cut-out.

Nova 3 Centre: the cabinet

Nova 3 Gehäuse It's best to start with the bottom panel, the top panel should be attached last.

All panels need to be screwed together; lastly, the drivers will be fitted.

The crossover may be attached to the rear panel; in this case the rear panel should be detachable. It's also possible to insert the crossover through the driver cut-out.

Nova 3: the crossover

The crossover should be mounted on a wooden panel. The individual components should either be hot-glued to the wooden board or attached with cable fasteners and then wired up. If preferred, a universal PCB may be used where the components are fed through one side and soldered on the other. Nova 3
If a valve amp is being used we recommend a serial resonance circuit for impedance correction. Components to be used:
- ELCO unetched 33 uF
- air core coil 0.14 mH / 0,7 mm
- resistor 4.7 Ohm 10 Watt
All components to be wired in series, the two leads to be connected to the loudspeaker terminals.

Although connection is easy, contact us if you need help.
