Quite a few customers requested once more a loudspeaker with a fast, rigid cone mid / bass driver (Alcone AC 5.25) combined with a ribbon tweeter.

Andreas Guhde designed this loudspeaker with a Cantare ARG 3 Si ribbon tweeter, a two-chamber reflex system and an ingenious crossover. The Nova excels in true high-fidelity, spaciousness and shows above all an ability to really pinpoint instruments, while bass is absolutely clean. This is a speaker for the connoisseur, not for heavy rock junkie.

According to customers and reviewers the Nova's ability to reproduce space is absolutely fascinating. To experience this fully the speakers should be placed at least 60 centimetres away from the side walls.

The crossover kit consists of:

Review by Klang+Ton 3/2004:
..."It was to be expected that the Nova separated female and male vocals without any coloration. Three-dimensionally was excellent with accurate placement of instruments. We didn't notice any nasal impairment as often attributed to metal cones, without any doubt a result of the low take-over by the tweeter. Afterwards we continued with a mixed bag of jazz and orchestral manoeuvres. The bass was astonishingly detailed and seemingly low. However, what's more important is that they didn't even try to hide their small size when the going got rough."...

The Nova Supreme kit

On recommendation by Andreas Guhde this kit is available with:
- Kimber Cable 4PR for internal wiring
- 2 x Bitumex sheets for interior side walls
-2 x Mundorf MCAP Supreme for high frequency section
- otherwise Audiophile Mundorf capacitors with 400V

With these components the Nova shows a particularly beautiful attention to detail.
