Cabinet Assembly

The Sub 10 SW8 consists of six exterior walls, and - as internal bracing - one bass reflex panel and two further panels to stabilise the cabinet. The internal bracing reduces the vibration of the cabinet. These nine panels have to be glued together (and screwed if required). Afterwards (or before) the openings for the
- bass driver and
- the amplifier module
need to be cut out. Both panels, the one just above and the one just below the bass reflex port need to worked in such a way the bass reflex port forms a circular horn opening.

Connecting the subwoofer

Connect the pre-amp out (RCA) of your amplifier to the sub (RCA) or use speaker cable to connect the speaker terminals of your amp to the binding posts of the module. Plug the power cable into the mains...

Supplement a Sub 10S Co-Subwoofer

You need two identical cabinets to use a 10S subwoofer together with a co-subwoofer.

The co-subwoofer's cabinet won't need a cut-out for the amplifier module. To connect both subwoofers the rear panel of each cabinet needs to have a cut-out for the supplied terminals, which have gold plated brass terminals.

  On each subwoofer the terminals have to connected to the bass driver. Please make sure that the polarity is correct. Additionally the amplifier module has to be connected to the bass driver of the active subwoofer meaning that each terminal of the subwoofer has two wires attached to.

Finally the two subwoofers are going to be connected through the additional terminals.

The best sound is achieved when the listener's position and the two subwoofers form a isosceles triangle.

Positioning the two subwoofers in the centre or one right next to the two satellites are both very popular.
